Well... this is different.
So unless you've been living under a rock (or just aren't a fan of DC comics), you'll hopefully recognize Monsieur Mallah. Backstory: This ape may act tough, but he's just a sloppy romantic at heart. I mean, have you SEEN some of those comics? I think you'll know which I'm talking about when I say it's straight from Yaoi-ville. [link] I figure one of them is keeping up on their sap, and since the Brain has no eyes, it must be Mallah. This was my first time drawing a gorilla, and it was HARD! I tried to adjust my linework to fit in a few DC-type inking elements in deference to Mallah's orgins. Most of the colors I took from a Teen Titans Animated Series screenshot, with a few adjustments to suit my tastes. Monsieur Mallah & the Brain (c) DC Comics and Warner Bros Entertainment Though if you really don't want them anymore, I might be willing to make an offer. EDIT: Okay, there seems to be a few people wondering if that link is a real comic page or some Photoshopped joke. It is a REAL PAGE. Doom Patrol vol. 2 Issue 34. Funniest damn thing I ever read, and they kept the canon in later comics. |

Caffeine, a few days without any sleep, maybe some hard liquor. It's once I start wildly chain-smoking that I know I've hit that 'sweet spot'.
Then they come back with a scheme to get brain a body so they can get the Bow-chika on.

'Sides, a human brain can only live so long exposed to the environment. I'm surprised he didn't turn into mush.
Granted, the Duo Moda, the linning that covers the brian, is pretty tough, as my pig from Biology will show. But I doubt Brain at least will make it: His life support was shattered, and they're on a distant planet without the comforts of home.
I'm not calling Mallah's intelligence into question, but even he can build Brain an entire new life support system with some coconuts, bamboo and Palm Tree leaves. They aren't on Gilligan's Island ya know.

Also, he has what's left of the life support system to work with. If twere me, he would put together a functional system, but the communication network would be beyond repair, so he doens't actually know if the Brain survived, or if he sustained significant damage (ie, Brain-dead). This would create drama suitable for a Mallah-centric issue, probably inducing him to make one last attempt to save his lover by entering Gorilla City to find parts to complete the system at the risk of his own life. Because a life without the Brain is not worth living.
In the end, the Brain had survived, knew what Mallah had done, and is just more determined than ever to finally be together.
