My Gay Friends stamp [link] just got featured: [link]

Now, I'm not complaining exactly. I'm glad so many people agree with the sentiment (and Cthulhu knows I love stamps), but it's kind of a plunge when the work that gets the most attention is a stamp that took only a few minutes to create while other work--even fanart-- that has hours of effort gets little attention.

I know what you mean; my most popular stamp has been favorited nearly as many times as all my real art put together. But that's just the nature of stamps; as they get placed in journals and shoutboards, they have a natural self-advertising function, and of course, they express short simple ideas and concepts that a lot of people tend to agree with -- the standard for "Hey I like this" is a lot lower with a stamp than with any real art.

I agree my most popular art work that I have is also a stamp.

I know your pain D: when I was angry and when my stamps took too many favs, I remove that stamps and add to old account :XD:

I know what you mean, my most popular deviation by FAR is just a stupid meme that took me five minutes to make. :(
Whereas everything else is completely ignored, lol.

*adds to the popularity of THIS stamp*

It's kind of funny. I've got a stamp that took mere seconds on MS Paint to make with 225 favs...while art that I worked on for hours on Photoshop can barely break 30. :XD:
